FAQ’s
‘Can I really learn all I need to in the time frame give?’
We keep existing therapists and beginners in separate classes, so for therapists everybody on the course will have pre-existing knowledge and for beginners we issue pre study and allow extra time in the classroom.

In our therapists classes some students may have initially studied  some time ago, so we provide study aids and assistance to revise the Health and Safety, Procedures and Anatomy and Physiology which isn’t brand new information to you. We feel, as this is a refresher rather than new information, that we shouldn’t be spending excess time in the classroom re-capping this. Instead we aim for maximum practical experience within our lessons, along with essential new theory. Our tutors never turn their back on you after the course and are available to provide extra information and guidance should you require it as home study

For beginners, you have a mentor for before, during and after the course to ask questions should you need to. The class sizes are very small to ensure lots of individual assessment and we work at a pace to ensure everything is clear before your assessment.

‘I’m still worried there will be too much to learn’
We are confident that you will pick up the procedures and routines but if we feel you have not passed at a competent level with safety in mind, we will not issue your certificate. Instead, we will add additional training aids and extra activities and case studies to complete at home. We will ensure you are confident before you start treating clients. If you request it, we also offer additional one to one sessions for an  additional fee, but we are confident the initial course will arm you with enough knowledge and skill to confidently offer the treatment you are training in.

‘How big are the classes?’
We offer a maximum of six students per course and aim to keep the groups smaller wherever possible. The six students are usually reserved for when we provide training privately for a single business. Should the course not be filled, it would still go ahead providing you are able to bring a model with you on the day. Your tutor will discuss this with you in plenty of time before the course begins.

What is included in the course price?’
The course price is the only price you will pay, there are no hidden fees. The price includes your training manuals, learning material, revision manuals (where required), certificate and the use of all training materials on the day including beds/chairs, towels, consumables and the equipment and products required on the day. You will be advised on where to purchase your own kit to use at home but this will not be required prior to the course.

‘Once I’ve completed a course with you can I treat clients?’
Once the course is completed and the certificate has been issued, you will be fully qualified and able to gain insurance using our accredited certificates with all major insurance companies. Some courses require case studies and practice at home before your certificate is issued and this time is known as the apprentice period. You are considered qualified from the point your certificate is issued.

What does being Accredited actually mean?’
Being accredited as an academy means we have been vetted by Professional Beauty Direct (and previously by other awarding bodies too). They ensure our Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, Anatomy and Physiology as well as the individual treatment subjects and procedures, are all complying with their standards and are being delivered to you correctly. It means when you receive a certificate from us that is accredited by them, you can be confident you have received the best quality training course and have the skills required to perform the treatment as a chargeable service.

‘How do I obtain Insurance?’
Before carrying out the treatment on clients you will need to purchase insurance for professional indemnity and public liability. We recommend Professional Beauty Direct because as a company we use them ourselves (as therapists, as a salon and as a training academy) and these are also our accreditors for all our courses.

‘How do I book a course with Just Pampered Training Academy?’
For any questions, to secure a date or discuss payment, please use the contact form and we will be happy to help. If you would prefer to discuss by phone or arrange a visit to the academy to meet us in person, please leave your contact number and the most convenient times for us to contact you. As we are in and out of the classroom, and still therapists who see clients ourselves, we are most accessible via email.

‘What if I can’t find dates that suit me?’
It is always worth contacting us as we aim to be as flexible as possible. We may be able to offer a one-to-one training course for you.

How To Book

  • We release general training dates for any student and any subject. We also arrange mutually suitable dates between us and a new student enquiry.

  • Our dates are available on a first come first served basis.

  • We will offer dates to a student and reserve for 48 hours to give them a chance to respond. If we have not heard back within this time, the dates will be offered to the next student

  • Upon agreement of a date, we will send you a confirmation email, detailing the course content, the total cost, how to pay, what to wear, details of times your model will be required, what to bring and so on

  • We require evidence of your current beauty qualification to complete enrolment

  • The date is only secured once we have received payment for the course. We will issue a receipt for your records.

  • Other students who have expressed an interest in this subject will also be offered a place on the course.

  • We like to keep our classes small to give the student maximum time with the trainer. We have a maximum of six students at any given time

  • We continue to run our courses even if you are the only student booked on, and will operate on a one to one basis. Therefore, models are always required for our courses.

  • You will be given details in your initial confirmation email stating how many models and the time they should arrive. It is the responsibility of the student to source and patch test (where required) their own models. We are also happy to patch test the models on your behalf at our salons. Please contact us to book a patch test appointment if required.

  • If you are unable to source a model we will endeavour to help find one but are unable to guarantee this service. Please speak to your trainer at the earliest opportunity if your model has let you down as the course may not be able to run without a model.

  • We require a minimum of one week notice in order to transfer to a future date. If you are unable to attend please speak to your trainer at the earliest opportunity to discuss your options.

  • Cost of cancellation is as follows:

Less than 48 hours notice - you will forfeit the cost of the course

More than 48 hours notice but less than one week - you will forfeit 50% of the cost of the course

  • Courses are non refundable

  • Our courses are fully accredited with Professional Beauty Direct

  • Some of our courses require case studies to be completed before a certificate is issued. You will know before you enrol onto the course if your chosen subject requires case studies and you can also check via our website or in your original confirmation email.

  • You are welcome to complete the case studies at your own pace for up to three months.

  • After three months, you will require a refresher workshop in order to continue, which is charged at £27ph

  • We offer an ongoing after care service and are happy to assist with any ongoing queries. Due to the nature of the business we spend a lot of time in the classroom and treatment room. Due to this we are most responsive through email, justpamperedacademy@gmail.com Alternatively, we would be happy to arrange a telephone appointment to assist with your queries at a mutually convenient time.
